Q. Where do I register?
A. Either online via RaceIt. See the registration page for complete details.
Q. Is registration limited?
A. Yes, registration is limited to the first 700 people. We will sell out so register early.
Q. Can I register the morning of the race?
A. No. The last day for registration is at packet pick-up the day before, August 4th however we have been full every year for the last 8 years well in advance of packet pick-up!
Q. What is included with race registration?
A. Participant of both Haulin’ Aspen races receive a pair of custom Sock Guy Socks, beer and snacks at the finish line and a custom finisher’s medal. Half Marathon and Marathon finishers will also receive a complimentary meal.

Q. Is the race all on trails?
A. 98.3% of the race is on dirt. The course is a combination of single-track and cinder trails. Check the course info page for more specifics.
Q. Is there a time limit on the marathon?
A. Yes. The time limit for marathoners to finish is six (6-hours).
Q. How many events are taking place?
A. Two for now: The marathon and the half-marathon. We are working on a shorter course but we are still waiting approval.
Q. How is the race timed?
A. The race will be professionally timed and results will be posted online by Monday, August 12th at the latest. If you stay post-race to enjoy the awards ceremony, food and beer we will have results posted at the race as well.
Q. How many aid stations are on the course?
A. For the marathon, there are nine aid stations available. For the half-marathon there are five. Some aid stations will serve both out-and-back traffic. See the aid station page for a breakdown of the location of each aid station location and what will be served at each aid station.
Q. What will be available at the aid stations?
A. Every aid station will have water, Gatorade, Gu energy gels. Again, visit the aid station page for more specifics.
Q. Will there be food at the finish line?
A. Absolutely! We will have a main course provided to all half marathon and marathon runners in addition to fruit, snacks and beer provided by Deschutes Brewing Company for all race distances. We will also have other, non alcoholic beverages at the finish line (Gatorade, water). You may also purchase an extra meal for $12 for friends or family.
Q. Where can I pick up my packet?
A. Visit the schedule page for details. Packet pick-up will be at Footzone, located in downtown Bend on Saturday, August 10th.

Q. Where is the race start? How do I get there?
A. The race starts at Ruff Wear. The link will take you to a Google Map.
Q. How much parking is available.
A. There is plenty of parking along Lolo Drive, at Summit High School and Miller Elementary.
:: Awards
Q. What kind of awards will be presented?
A. Overall male and female, masters (40+) male and female. Awards will be for all three race distances: the marathon, half-marathon. We will also have ribbons three-deep in every age group (increments of 5 years: 20-24, 25-29….70+).
Q. Are there finisher’s medals?
A. Each marathon and half-marathon finisher will receive a unique medal commemorating the race.
